Deborah, Receptionist/Assistant

I have assistant and receptionist duties.  These duties include handling patients, scheduling appointments, educating clients, and customer service.  I started my veterinary experience in 2003, joining the AHDP team in 2005, although I was an AHDP client long before that.  I enjoy the veterinary field and the relationships between pets and their people.  I have a strong interest in native wildlife and rehabilitate several species of WI wildlife.  My special interest is the care and conservation of insectivorous bats.  My family includes my husband Steve, and sons Jordan and Rolf.  I have 2 dogs, and 2 cats.  I am a member of AWARE (Alliance of WIAnimal Rehoming Effort), NWRA (National Wildlife Rehabilitators Assoc.)and R-PAWS (Rehabilitation Program at the Wildlife Sanctuary.)

I have worked in the veterinary field since 1996 and I joined Animal Hospital of De Pere in 2013.  I have a strong love for helping animals and enjoy every aspect of my job. 

My husband and I have 3 children and our pack consists of 10 golden retrievers and 2 orphaned chihuahua mixes.  We also have 2 cats, 4 foster birds, dozens of abandoned Koi, a bearded dragon and a guinea pig. 

My hobbies include wildlife rehabilitation, traveling and gardening.  I am also an avid sports fan.  I also enjoy breeding and training golden retrievers for service work. 

Tammy

Tammy, Certified Veterinary Technician

I graduated from MATC in 2004 and became a credentialed Veterinary Technician that same year.  I started working at Animal Hospital of De Pere in 2006.  I was also a part time veterinary technician instructor for Globe University.  I frequently volunteer for Cats Anonymous and Happily Ever After spay events.

I have a special interest in veterinary dentistry and I enjoy interacting with patients and all of my clients. 

My furry family is Ivy, a 12-year-old female cat, who is missing her right front leg and Eevee, a 1-year old female cat that is also missing her right front leg. 

My hobbies include drawing, painting and photography.  I also enjoy traveling, volunteering and socializing with my fellow humans and furry friends.   

Kristen, Certified Veterinary Technician

Some of my duties include prepping patients for surgery, caring for hospitalized patients, exam room duties, lab work, and client education.  I graduated from Argosy University in 2003. I have always had a strong interest in medicine and nursing care.  My furry friends are felines, Stumpy and Jennings and lab mix Ellie.  My hobbies include music, movies, books, and visiting friends.

Melanie, Certified Veterinary Technician

My duties include animal care, client education and patient care.  I graduated from MATC with an Associate Degree.  I started at AHDP in May 2001 and because of the flexible environment at Animal Hospital of De Pere I've been able to work as a veterinary technician while spending time with my family.  I previously was an instructor at Globe University in the veterinary technology program.  I enjoy seeing the human-animal bond.   My family includes my husband, Andy, three children, two dogs, and one cat.  Hobbies include spending time with the family, traveling, volunteering at my kids school.  I  also enjoy watching my kids play soccer and horseback ride. 

 

Megan, Certified Veterinary Technician

My duties include patient care, anesthesia, dental care, and assisting the doctors with surgeries.  I started my career in veterinary care in 2011. I graduated from Argosy University with a degree in veterinary technology in 2013 and that same year I started working at Animal Hospital of De Pere.  I love getting to know the clients here at hospital throughout the years and loving their pets like my own.  I enjoy spending time with my husband Ben, daughter Savannah, and my furry family Ziva my German Shepherd and two cats Ducky and Palmer. Hobbies include being camping and being outdoors,  spending time with family, and getting lost in a good book.

Connie, Practice Manager

As a manager, I oversee training and communication of new and existing staff.  As a technician, I educate clients, perform dentals, and nursing care.  I graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Aurora, CO in 1992.  I started working at AHDP in 1992.  The favorite parts of my job include educating clients, dentistry, and behavior.  My family includes my husband, Mike, and daughters Shae and Skye.  The rest of my family includes hounds Tess,Lily and Burda; and cavalier Stanley.  Hobbies include walking, biking, and gardening.

Rachel

Rachel, Kennel Assistant

My responsibilities include taking care of the animals staying here, cleaning and maintaining the hospital.  I attended Globe University for a year and may continue my education in the future.  My employment at AHDP starting in December 2014.  I have always loved animals and enjoy the hands-on experiences here.  My family includes my treeing walker coonhound named Lady.  Hobbies include taking my dog to the park, reading, watching movies, and doing outdoor activities.

Jesse, Kennel Assistant

My job is to take care of boarders at Animal Hospital of De Pere.  I also help keep the clinic clean, assist the veterinary technicians, help in receptions and many other tasks around the hospital. 

I have a degree in biology from UW Green Bay and I’m pursuing graduate school in veterinary medicine.  I have been working at Animal Hospital of De Pere for two years, previously I shadowed and assisted at other veterinary clinics. 

I love working in the veterinary filed because I love working with animals.  I love assisting owners when their pets become sick or need our help.  Watching the bond grow between owner and pet is also very gratifying. 

My human family consists of my mom and I.  My furry family consists of my two dogs, Abby and Lucy, my two cats, Leo and Cheeto, one guinea pig, fourteen rabbits, one fish and my horse Evie. 

On my down time I enjoy riding and showing my horse Evie.  I also enjoy showing my rabbits.  I enjoy going up north to go four-wheeling, snowmobiling.  Hanging out with my family is one of my favorite pastimes. 

 

Gabrielle, Practice Manager and Certified Veterinary Technician

I began my career in veterinary medicine about 20 years ago as a teenager working as a veterinary assistant.  After working as an Animal Health Technician for the Army in Germany I moved to Las Vegas and went to school at the Community College of Southern Nevada, where I received my degree in Veterinary Technology.  Later I earned a BA in Business Management with an emphasis in Agriculture.  I moved to Wisconsin in 2006 and became credentialed in Wisconsin as a Certified Veterinary Technician.  I recently started working for Animal Hospital of De Pere as the Practice Manager.

I enjoy working with clients and helping them develop their relationship with their pets. 

I have lots of children as I have been a human foster parent for the last 9 years.  I have two daughters, Rya and Shyloe and one son, Ed.  I have a sassy dog named Shadow, two cats, and so many guppies I can’t count them. 

When I’m not wrangling kids and animals, I enjoy reading, gardening and hiking. 

Allison, Receptionist and Kennel Assistant

My job at Animal Hospital of De Pere includes checking clients in and out, greeting clients and their furry babies, slinging treats and making sure both the clients and patients are happy. 

I am currently attending NWTC and studying Graphic Design. 

I started working at Animal Hospital of De Pere a year ago and I have learned so much.  I love animals and I always have.  When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian.  I’m thankful that to work here because it gives me the opportunity to work closely with animals. 

My family consists of my husband TJ and my three cats Nadya, Nika, and Minako.

I love to draw, listen to music, read, serenade my cats and cosplay.
